Concerned About Class Size?

Are you worried about your children's class size in the Fairfield Public Schools?  We all may need to be. The Board of Education is currently reviewing proposals to increase class sizes in our schools for grades K-5.

Did You Know?
The number one influence on learning is the student-teacher ratio.  Increasing class sizes has a proven, immediate and continuous negative impact.

Suzy heard that the MAJORITY of the BOE supports increasing class sizes.

Once a change like this is passed, it will be very hard to go back to a smaller class size. Ultimately, every child in Fairfield's education could be affected.

If this is a concern to you, there are three ways you can make your voice heard:

Attend the 7:30pm June 9th BOE meeting at the BOE Building, 501 Kings Hwy, Large Conference Room (2nd Flr).  You don't have to speak but be there as a show of support opposing the increase in class sizes.

Email the Board of Ed and Fairfield Public School Administration, and ask them to look at alternative areas throughout the entire school system K-12 budget rather than impacting the core of the environment that our children live in every day of the school year.  You can download a copy of the budget and modifications below.
