First Night: What Are You Doing New Year’s Eve?
Well? What are you doing? No plans? No worries. Westport’s First Night celebration is back and better than ever. This year, there’s truly something for everyone. Family theater, horse drawn carriage rides, teen entertainment at Toquet Hall until midnight, circus acts, face painting, Chris Coogan live jazz, rockabilly, blues piano, a magic genie, an open mike and fireworks at 8:30 p.m. and midnight are just some of what the town has on tap to ring in 2012.

The festivities begin at 4 p.m. and run straight through until the clock strikes twelve. The venues are as varied as the entertainment.
All you need to do is get your button.

Buttons are $10 per person until Dec. 15, when the cost bumps up to $15 per person. Suzy says you should probably get yours now.
