Recipe of the Week: Blond Sangria
Sunday, June 27, 2010

Summer BBQ season is in full swing, here's a crowd-pleasing Sangria recipe from Betsey Block of Mama Cooks.
Ingredients
2 c. apricot juice
3 c. peach juice
1/4 c. orange juice
juice from one lime (2-3 Tbsp.)
3 c. white wine (my favorite so far has been a $10 Reisling)
cut-up summer fruits (plums, peaches, blueberries, nectarines -- whatever you have around)
Directions
Mix, pour over ice, enjoy. This is a sweet, light sangria because that's how BD and I like it. Add more wine or a splash of triple sec if you want more kick. Also, be aware that kids will get jealous if they see adults drinking this festive fruity drink; fortunately, it's also great without alcohol.
