Lego Land Sculptures
Suzy's friend Ann reported in from Greenwich with this educational and entertaining idea for a weekend field trip:

Check out the Flinn Gallery on the second floor of the Greenwich Public Library.  Flinn is kicking off their 80th Anniversary with an exceptional exhibit for all ages by Nathan Sawaya.

According to Ann, "He's an artist who makes the most amazing sculpture entirely out of LEGOs.  So fantastic!  We saw his work maybe a year ago at the Stamford Nature Center – I like this one better though because it focuses on the human form, and he makes these things so expressive.  A fun outing for the kids or just adults, and it's free.  Only advice is to keep a strong hand on the kids – I was a little freaked they would bump into the sculpture, but we made it out of there without any major damage."

When:  Sept. 17th – October 28th

Where: Flinn Gallery at Greenwich Library, 101 West Putnam Ave, Greenwich

Hours: M-W 10-5; Th 10-8; F-Sat 10-5; Sun 1-5
