Bring a picnic to the Fairfield Museum and History Center for a summer evening of Town Ball. Played in the early 1800's, the game emphasizes community spirit and participation by everyone, regardless of their abilities.
It's a casual, old-fashioned game with no foul territory – all struck balls are played. You'll learn about rounders, soaking, and one-out, all-out during this family event.
Wednesday, August 18 at 6 PM
Staff from the Bridgeport Bluefish will also be on hand with giveaways and more. The event is free, but pre-registration is encouraged. Co-sponsored by FCBuzz.org.
