Get a Backstage Pass
The long holiday weekend is the perfect time to take the family on a backstage tour of the Maritime Aquarium and see just what it takes to keep our aquatic friends happy and healthy.

Get a rare chance to feed the sharks and rays on Saturday, November 27th.
(there will be additional tours next month on December 27th & 30th).

Operating the aquarium is an complicated production that must satisfy 1,000 animals with varying requirements for food, water temperatures and salinities, and more. See how it's all done when you visit their jellyfish "nursery" and the "fish kitchen," where meals for their residents are prepared.

You'll go above the Open Ocean exhibit, where you can look down on the sharks in their 110,000-gallon tank ... and even toss in some fish for them to eat! And feel the tickle as you hand-feed the cow-nosed rays!

Participants must be 10 years and older. Anyone under the age of 15 must be accompanied by an adult. These special Behind The Scenes Tours cost $32.50 for non-members ($22.50 for Aquarium members) and include Aquarium admission. There is a maximum of 25 people per tour. Walk-up sales are accepted.

Tours begin at 8:15AM
For reservations, call The Maritime Aquarium at 203-852-0700, ext. 2206. Space is limited.
