One of the best things about Fairfield are our beaches. Make your summer at the beach even better with your very own locker at Penfield Pavilion. There are 203 beach lockers large enough to for you (and the kiddos) to change in as well as store your beach chairs, sand toys and other summer essentials. (Imagine not having to schlept everything from the car and back!).
A lottery will be held every year to gain access to these lockers. The lottery this year will is on Thursday, March 24th at the Fairfield Recreation Department.
Cost:
Residents $200.00 Sr. (62+) $140.00
Non-Residents $400.00 Sr. (62+) $280.00
Here’s the scoop on the lottery:
To ensure giving as many people an opportunity to take advantage of the lockers as possible, a lottery will be held each year for selling and assigning lockers. Those previously holding a locker will have no priority. Of the 203 lockers, 20 will be sold to non-residents, should they apply and be chosen.
The lottery will be held:
Thursday, March 31 at 8:30 AM at the Parks & Recreation Department
75 Mill Plain Rd
You do not need to be present at the lottery in order to qualify.
Follow the steps below carefully to enter.
Fill out the Penfield Locker Lottery Application completely (application attached below) and include a valid credit card or be present at time of drawing to provide payment. Those not wishing to use a credit card will be required to produce a check at the time of the lottery if they are chosen. Returned checks or invalid credit cards will result in voided application.
All applications should be mailed, faxed or brought directly to the Fairfield Parks & Recreation Office at 75 Mill Plain Rd by 7:00 AM on March 31.
Any application received after 7:00 AM on the day of the drawing will not be accepted.
Only one application per household will be accepted. All Lottery applicants’ names will be posted on the Fairfield Recreation Department website within 4 days of drawing. Lockers will be assigned as drawn. No location requests will be honored. If requesting one of our 2 wheelchair accessible lockers, proof of Handicapped Status with the State of CT must accompany application.
