Annual 4th of July Bike Parade & Old Fashioned Lawn Games
Wednesday, July 04, 2012

On Wednesday morning, kick off your Fourth of July Festivities at the Pequot Library during their Annual 4th of July Bike Parade & Old Fashioned Lawn Games event. Every Fourth of July, rain or shine—(almost always shine!), locals of all ages arrive at the Five Corners in Southport Village with their decorated bikes, scooters, and wagons to form a parade. Led by a Fairfield Police bicycle escort, the parade kicks off at 10 AM sharp.
The parade marches on to the Great Lawn of the Library, where fun awaits. Hot dogs and drinks are available. The activities include traditional sack races, a hula hoop contest, an American Revolution trivia contest (one quiz per family working together), and face painting for the little ones.
Join the fun and start out this summer holiday with a morning celebrating our national heritage at this local favorite celebrating the spirit of our community.
Parade begins in the Heart of the Village of Southport
