Spring Break has just about sprung and Suzy knows a lot of galpals who have decided to stick around this year. And with good reason! There's tons of fun to be had with the whole family right here in our own backyard. Like what? Just check out these great, local activities.

Yoga and Art Vacation Camp
Yoga for Everybody
From 1:30 - 4 PM children ages 7 -11 will enjoy a playful yoga practice, expressive movement and art lead by Beth Furman and Susan Freed. $40/child. Call 254-YOGA to register. 27 Unquowa Road.

Fairfield Museum and History Center
10:00 – 11 AM
Pre-k aged children and their caregivers are invited to spend some time in the galleries with a good storybook or three about spring! Free with admission.

The Little Gym Spring Break Camp
Monday, April 13th, 2009 9:00 - 12:00 and 1:00 - 4:00 Monday to Friday
Drop the kids off at our week long camp. Camp days run all week, Monday to Friday from 9:00 - 12:00 and 1:00 - 4:00. Sign up for one day or all five. Three hours of fun for your children in our theme related camps. Children receive juice, snack and make a theme related arts and crafts project. Call 382-1001 to register.

Connecticut's Beardsley Zoo April Adventures - School Vacation Program
Children ages 6-11 will take part in animal encounters and special craft activities each day. Offered Monday, April 13th - Friday, April 17th. This program features Zookeeper talks, behind-the-scenes tours, animal encounters, crafts, games, and other activities. Kids can come for the entire week or just for a day. The cost of the program is $35 per day or $150 for the week (for Zoo members, cost is $30 per day or $125 per week). Call 203-394- 6563 to register.

Enjoy a variety of great activities inspired by spring at the Fairfield Museum! Pre-registration is required. You'll need to provide a peanut-free snack for your child. Call 203-259-1598 to register.
Outdoor Art
Learn about landscape painting and how to paint like the masters outdoors on the Town Green. We'll explore color and design with a variety of art materials including paints, colored pencils and oil pastels. Please bring a smock or old t-shirt.

Pink Cloud Beading Day
Create and take home two masterpieces with help from the Pink Cloud Beading Company. They'll bring a myriad of fun and colorful kits with everything you need to make necklaces, lariats, bracelets, key chains and special occasion projects. Includes all the materials for each child to go home with two finished pieces of jewelry!
Session III: Tuesday, April 14 for ages 8 - 12, 9am – 12pm

Younger children will enjoy a variety of beading activities designed especially for small fingers!
Super Construction Engineers
Study architecture on the Town Green followed by a mega-construction workshop. Recycle and papier mache to build a towering skyscraper, treehouse or the ultimate secret hide-out!

Make it with Clay
Have fun with dirt and fimo clay! We'll make pinch pots and more with air-dry clay and colorful fimo.
Session VII: Friday, April 17 for ages 5 - 7 from 10:00 – 11:30 AM

Write for Me!
Learn about the art of writing through calligraphy. We'll explore the history of writing with quill pens and ink as well as the traditional italic and gothic styles using nibs. Then we'll add watercolor paints and colored inks to create beautiful art with words
Session VIII: Friday, April 17 from 1:30pm – 4:30pm for ages 8 – 12.
