Food for Fines
Do you have lingering Library fines?

The Fairfield Public Library is giving you a fantastic way out of paying your fines that will benefit Operation Hope.  During their "Food for Fines" drive, for each nonperishable food item or health care item you bring in and donate at the Fairfield Public Library or Fairfield Woods Branch Library, they'll waive the accrued fines on one overdue item returned that day.

Monday, February 14 at 9:00 AM - February 20 at 5:00 PM

If you don't have fines, your donations will also be welcomed. Only nonperishable food items and health care items that are not expired and that are in good condition will be accepted. Candy and items in glass jars and plastic bags will not be accepted. All donations must be in their original packaging and are subject to approval of library staff.

Please note:
Fees for lost or damaged materials will not be waived. Additionally, this does not apply to overdue museum passes or Little Learners Circle Time Totes. Food items may not be used to negate fines already on a patron’s record for materials that have been returned prior to Food for Fines week.
