Wakeman’s Spring Auction

The Wakeman Boys & Girls Club annual Spring Auction fundraiser is this Friday night at the organization’s brand new Smilow-Burroughs Clubhouse in the Black Rock section of Bridgeport. As the Club’s largest fundraising event, the Spring Auction will celebrate Wakeman’s 98 year history in the community and raise money for their three Clubhouses and more than 150 youth programs.
Spend the evening enjoying delicious food and drinks while shopping silent auction items that range from golf outings and beautiful jewelry to glamorous vacations and parties while supporting Wakeman’s continued growth and impact in the local community.
For the first time, the Spring Auction is being held at Wakeman’s Smilow-Burroughs Clubhouse, 2414 Fairfield Avenue, Bridgeport, from 7 – 11 PM.

Wakeman Boys & Girls Club currently serves nearly 4,000 youth from Fairfield and Bridgeport. Wakeman’s Smilow-Burroughs Clubhouse opened its doors in June 2011. The result of a $6.7M campaign, the 23,000 square foot LEED-certified Clubhouse serves hundreds of children each day from the Bridgeport community.
Wakeman’s Southport and Stratfield Clubhouses offer a wide variety of educational, athletic and leadership programs each year for 1st – 12th grade students. Wakeman’s award-winning mentoring program at McKinley Elementary School supports 200 students with academic, fitness and life skills programs.
