Family in Need

Suzy's galpal Dana, who works at a Bridgeport school, writes about a family in need this holiday season:

"As most of you probably heard, there was a huge fire on Faifield Ave two weeks ago that left many people homeless, and unfortunately three dead.  The ones to die were a mother, father and baby.  The parents had 2 other children, a 12 and a 15 year old boys who jumped to safety.  The boys moved in with their uncle, who is one of the fathers of children at my school.  He is a hard working welder, but, now has 8 children to support (they have 5 boys and 1 girl of their own).  So, needless to say, they could use help.  Any help really.

I was taking up a collection for gift cards to Stop and Shop, but really any food you would want to donate would be welcome.  Also, any clothes you might have would be appreciated.  I am not exactly sure of the boys' sizes, but I know the boys ages are 15, 12 , 9, 7, 5, 4, 2 and the baby girl is 2 months old.  You don't need to go out and buy anything, but if you have stuff that is in decent shape that you know your kids don't need, it be would be great.  I am sure you would make their holiday a lot brighter."
