After Caroline Minella gave birth to her second baby, she realized that her Baby Bjorn carrier looked a little dingy.  Instead of purchasing a new one, she headed to the fabric store and bought trendy prints and patterns and began sewing colorful covers for the baby carrier.

"Soon after, my friends began requesting them for their little ones," Caroline said. "Strangers on the street were asking me where I bought this crafty little accessory."  Thus, the company Maggie & Lulu was born.

Today, she's selling her practical yet fashionable wares at local children's boutiques and direct to friends and family (see information below).

Caroline, a Trumbull resident, knows something about children's merchandise. She's a buyer for Carters children's apparel.  Prior to that she worked for Victoria's Secret, Lord & Taylor and Newport News. Now she's navigating the entrepreneurial world while playing mom to daughters, Madeline and Maya.

The specialty covers are created in washable fabrics -- useful since the actual carrier is not! --with easily accessible front pockets to keep you truly hands-free while toting the little one around town.   In addition to fitting the Baby Bjorn carrier, Maggie & Lulu covers fit Snugli Soft Comfort Vent, Infanto Euro Rider and Jeep 2 in 1.

Maggie & Lulu products are carried by:
