The Boston Pops

For those of you seeking an extraordinary Independence Day, head north to Boston and join in the celebration as the Boston Pops mark their 35th Anniversary along with Rascal Flats for a memorable concert.
The event (concert and fireworks) takes place on the Esplanade in Boston along the Charles River.
No ticket is required. The event is free and open to the public on a first-come, first-served basis. Suzy recommends an early arrival and the following packing list:
An out of this world picnic
Frisbee
NY Times and other reading material
Blanket for an afternoon snooze
Folding chairs
Patriotism
For the July 4th event (concert and fireworks) the gates to the Oval are open at 9AM
The show is approximately two and a half hours, with a two hour concert and a half hour firework display.
Friday, July 4th Schedule
9AM: Oval Opens
8:30 -10:30PM: Boston Pops and Rascal Flats concert
10:30PM: Fireworks Show
