Outsmarting Lyme's Disease

Living in Connecticut, we've all been affected by Lyme disease.
This week at the Fairfield Woods Branch Library, learn how to outsmart this tricky disease with Author Gigi Guthrie. She'll be discussing treatments for the Disease, along with the risks and side effects. Her book is a compilation of valuable information about research-based treatments being used today to successfully fight chronic Lyme disease and its associated conditions. Each treatment is presented in a user-friendly format: Theory - How and why this treatment works; Pros - What are its benefits; and Cons - Considerations or concerns; and Application - How to carry out this treatment. The author also addresses the effect the disease has on families and relationships, the caregiver role, and strategizing for a smooth journey to recovery.
