Fairfield's Restaurant Scene
Martel Bistro & Bar:
Suzy stopped in last week to check things out and decided this small quaint new restaurant looks very promising. Small bar area with about a dozen tables and a warm and inviting ambiance. The staff promises chef Olivier Crosby will be serving up wonderful fare from burgers and sandwiches to fish dishes with affordable wines making it a place you'll want to linger.
Tentative open date is Thursday 2/26
2316 Post Road, Fairfield, 292-6916

Tombo Hibachi Sushi & Tiki Lounge:
Tombo, Fairfield's newest full service Japanese Restaurant has been open for a few weeks in the Brick Walk.  This sister restaurant to Papaya Thai in Norwalk and Plum Tree in New Canaan serves sushi, traditional cuisine & teppanyaki prepared before you on hibachi grills throughout the spacious dining room.  You can also enjoy a Zombie, Nutty Monkey or Mai Thai in their Tiki lounge where Suzy met a few galpals recently to catch up over sushi.  Add it on your list of places to eat once the weather is warmer when their walls open up to the outdoors for al fresco dining.
