The Samantha, Felicity, and Molly movies entertained millions of girls and their families. Next summer, it's Kit's turn! Her new live-action feature film, Kit Kittredge: An American Girl Mystery, comes to theaters everywhere July 2, 2008. Your girl could play a supporting role alongside Academy-Award nominee Abigail Breslin, who is starring as Kit.

American Girl is hosting open auditions to recruit actresses for the new feature film.

All girls ages 8 to 12 are welcome to audition.
Girls must be available for filming in Toronto, Canada from May 29 through July 13, 2007. Abigail Breslin

For all locations, girls should arrive at the following times based on the first letter of their last names: A - I, 2 to 4 p.m.; J - P, 4 to 6 p.m.; Q - Z, 6 to 8 p.m. (all times local)

• Release form — be sure to complete and sign it
  
• Open casting application/call sheet — complete a profile of your girl, including contact information
  
• Audition script — prepare for the audition with these scenes from the movie (memorize if possible)
  
• Callback script — if your girl is selected for a callback, review this scene to prepare
