2011 Summer Camps
A Child's Place
Monday, May 16, 2011

A Child’s Place, an accredited and widely respected child-education center open year-round, also offers nine weeks of summer camp for kids ages two through Pre-K (1 one week session and four 2-week sessions). A long-tenured teaching staff provides a warm, nurturing and fun environment with excellent teacher/camper ratios ranging from 1:3 to no more than 1:6.
Depending on the child’s age, programs run anywhere from 9 AM to Noon, 12:30 and 1 PM, with extended day options available for daily sign-up until 2:15 or 3:30 PM. Free early drop-off is also offered for three, four, and five-year olds starting at 8:20 AM.
Activities range from weekly field trips to Compo Beach and regular outings to local favorites such as the Beardsley Zoo, the Maritime Aquarium, Garbage Museum, ice-cream making and bowling to all-school dance parties, arts and crafts and more. Daily outdoor water play is also a favorite staple. Facilities include large indoor play spaces and air-conditioning, so camp takes place rain or shine.
