RC2 Corp. is recalling nearly 1.5 million Thomas & Friends Wooden Railway toys because surface paints on the recalled products contain lead, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission said today.

According to the CPSC, there have been no reported injuries from the recalled toys but consumers are being asked to stop using the recalled products immediately unless otherwise instructed.


The recalled toys are:

• Deluxe Sodor Fire Station

Toys marked with codes containing "WJ" or "AZ" are not included in this recall. The toys in question were sold at toy stores and other retailers nationwide from January 2005 through June 2007. All were made in China.
