Touch a Shark!
Monday, April 16, 2012

Suzy's got a perfect break week activity for you and the kids!
The Maritime Aquarium has opened its new Sharks & Rays gallery, with a large Shark & Ray Touch Pool as its centerpiece.
Visitors can gently touch the backs of nurse sharks, ranging in size from 3 to 5 feet long, and cownose, Southern and other rays that have had their stingers removed. The gallery also will let visitors see baby sharks before they’re born, touch real shark teeth and learn why sharks are so unique.
Come play (well, hands only) in shark infested waters and get your photo taken in a shark cage!
