Fairfield Museum and History Center Plans Exciting Preschool Camp –  “A Journey Around the World”
As the world comes together this summer to celebrate the 2012 Olympic Games, area preschoolers will be able to take their own trip around the globe, if they attend a special camp at the Fairfield Museum and History Center.   And there is still space available.

The Museum has planned two exciting sessions, filled with new discoveries for preschoolers, according to Christine Jewell, director of education and community programs for the Museum.  The sessions, which run from 9 a.m. to noon, will be led by two veteran teachers, Karen Cusanelli and Annie Isler, from the Great Beginnings Montessori School.

In the first session, “Art Adventures”, from July 9-13, Ms. Cusanelli and Ms. Isler will guide 4 – 6 year olds in learning about famous artists from countries like Kenya, Russia and the United States and exploring and celebrating these different cultures through art, crafts, music, literature, cuisine, and games!

In “A Taste of the World”, the second session, which is from July 16-20, campers will focus on cooking from such countries as India, Mexico and Japan. Each day, children will learn about a different country, cook a native dish and bring home samples for their families.

Tuition for the pre-school camp is $150 per session for family members and $190 per session for non members, including a Family Membership at $10 off.

For more information about the preschool camp and registration, contact Christine Jewell at Fairfield Museum and History Center (203) 259-1598 x103.
