Traffic alert today: Vice President Joe Biden will visit Fairfield on Monday afternoon to use a $70 million project on the Merritt Parkway to talk about the federal stimulus program with CT Senator Chris Dodd.  They'll be meeting at the ramp to the Merritt Parkway by GE (Route 59), according to the Fairfield Police Department, Jefferson Street, Park Avenue, and Upper Stratfield Road (also known as Easton Turnpike) will be heavily impacted between the hours of 2:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m.  Additionally, Jefferson Street will be completely closed off for a period of time. Plan accordingly!
