Mr. Scott's role in "The Vicious Kind", which was filmed in Connecticut, has been garnering much attention including a nomination for Best Male Lead by the 2010 Film Independent Spirit Awards (the "Oscars" for independent films), putting him in the company of such greats as Jeff Bridges and Colin Firth (2009 nominees included Sean Penn and Mickey Rourke). Other recognition has come in the form of a win for Best Actor in the 2009 Strasbourg Film Festival and a win for Best Performance in the 2009 Sidewalk Film Festival. The film "The Vicious Kind" was a film festival favorite at last year's Sundance Film Festival and has been nominated for Best Screenplay (by Lee Toland Krieger) in the 2010 Film Independent Spirit Awards. It was a winner for Best Feature in the 2009 New Orleans Film Festival. The film also stars Brittany Snow, J.K. Simmons & Alex Frost.
Mr. Scott has appeared in many other feature films and currently stars with Amy Adams in "Leap Year". Several of his other starring roles include those in "Step Brothers" with Will Ferrell and John C. Reilly, "Knocked Up" with Seth Rogen and Katherine Heigl, and "The Aviator" with Leonardo DiCaprio and Cate Blanchett. Upcoming film projects include the lead role in "Piranha 3-D" which costars Elizabeth Shue, Ving Rhames and Richard Dreyfuss and "Rogue's Gallery" costarring Rob Corddry and Ellen Barkin.
Mr. Scott is also a well known television actor having starred in the critically acclaimed HBO series "Tell Me You Love Me" and currently stars in the STARZ network's original series "Party Down" with Megan Mullally (of Will & Grace).
Writer & Director Lee Toland Krieger and several Producers will be attending the event!
