End of Summer Lifeguard Hours

Unfortunately, summer is winding down and so is lifeguard coverage at the beaches. Here's the scoop on lifeguard staffing through the end of the summer.
Starting Monday, August 23rd and continuing through Sunday, August 29th, only Jennings Beach, Penfield Beach and Lake Mohegan will be staffed with lifeguards and swimming areas may be reduced.
From August 30th through September 3rd, there will be no lifeguards on duty at any public beaches and swimming will be at your own risk.
Lifeguards will be back on duty Labor Day weekend, September 4th, 5th and 6th, at Jennings Beach, Penfield Beach and Lake Mohegan, and swimming areas will be reduced.
After September 6th, no lifeguards will be on duty at any of the town beaches.
