You've seen the signs around town but you probably have no idea how big the 46th Annual Pequot Library Book Sale really is.
Get this: 140,000 donated books will be on sale (sorted into 50 categories, thank goodness!) on Friday, July 27th to Tuesday, July 31st, 2007.
It's the biggest book sale in New England.
There's no admission fee and all proceeds benefit the Pequot Library.
The prices go down as the weekend progresses:
Friday, July 27th 9 AM to 8 PM All items double the marked price
Saturday, July 28th 9 AM to 5:30 PM Items priced as marked
Sunday, July 29th 9 AM to 5:30 PM Items priced as marked
Monday, July 30th 9 AM to 8 PM Items half off marked price
Tuesday, July 31st9 AM to 2 PM ALL ITEMS FREE!

Sunday is Young Readers Day. Thousands of like-new children's books will be available for sale, beginning at 10 AM. As a special gift to young attendees, they will receive a book for dropping by the sale that day.
Other activities:
1 PM - Children's Concert by Mary Ann Hall of the eponymous Music for Children program.
There will also be crafts and story hours throughout the day presented by Susan Ei, the children's librarian.
Clifford the Big Red Dog will also make an appearance.
