Suzy is supporting a new local charity.
Fairfield Women in Need (WIN) is an organization set up by two friends in Fairfield designed to help local galpals who are in need.
It's an all too common story: a friend of a friend's husband lost his job...a woman is having a hard time financially after a divorce... or has a sick family member and facing unanticipated bills. WIN was founded to quickly help these women in need.
Every six to eight weeks WIN will gather at The Horseshoe in Southport for a "Girl's Night Out". It's a great excuse to get out and meet some galpals for a drink. A jar for donations will be provided for a discretionary contribution (suggested amount is $20). The money will be anonymously delivered to the needy galpal's mailbox in an envelope marked WIN. There are no formal solicitations, no fundraisers, no bureaucracy -- just women helping women. A WIN, Win for all involved.
If you know of someone who would benefit from a donation, please email FairWomenInNeed@aol.com. All information will be kept confidential and will operate within a system of complete trust. Updates regarding monies raised will be provided via email along with upcoming dates for getting together.
