Our Local Favorite
The longest wait in town? Quattro Pazzi. Hands down.

If you're willing to relax with a couple of glasses of wine at the hot spot's cozy bar (Quattro Pazzi takes no reservations), you'll be in for a yummy meal. There's a reason so many people are willing to hang around the Post Road in search of a piping hot plate of pasta!

Quattro Pazzi (translation: Four Crazies) begins the dining experience with fresh crusty bread, perfect for dipping in the saucer of olive oil.

The atmosphere is warm but can be loud in such a small space when packed on a weekend night. If you're lucky, you'll score the round table in the storefront window.
Suzy's tip:  Try Quattro Pazzi on a weekday evening.

The menu has a variety of pastas, chicken, veal and seafood dishes. The portions are extremely large -- enough for lunch the next day --  served in oversized white specialty pasta bowls, which we all wish we had at home. (That's what we bought our Significant Other last year for Christmas!)

We rarely look at the menu knowing that we'll order our go-to dishes: "Rughetta con Crochette di Pecorino", a fresh arugula salad with a goat cheese croquette, red peppers, caramelized onions with balsamic vinegar, followed by "Rigatoni alla Buttera", rigatoni pasta topped with crumbled hot sausage and peas in a pink sauce topped with ricotta cheese.

No room for dessert -- a steaming cappuccino tops off the night.

When the weather warms up, a small front patio will open for the season, allowing for a few more tables. No matter the weather, Quattro Pazzi is  a great choice with or without the kids. You can count on a good meal. That's why Fairfielders line up every Thursday, Friday and Saturday night.

Suzy Tip: Don't want to wait?  Quattro Pazzi is also terrific to go.
