If you fancy real EVOO and balsamic vinegar, and who doesn't these days, stop by the recently opened Olivette in Darien for a free tasting.
Olivette is the only Olive Oil tasting bar of its kind in Fairfield County!
The tasting room consists of over 20 varieties of Olive Oils and Balsamic Vinegars, fresh from Modena, Italy. Alina, the owner, has sampled every variety in the store and can tell you which works best with your favorite dishes. Tell her what you like and she will match it to the available oils and vinegars in the store.
Suzy tasted 5 different varieties of EVOO and had a hard time picking a favorite! The peppery finish of the olive oils range from mild to hot and one tastes better than the next. Say bye-bye store bought salad dressings!
Olivette also carries a variety of olives, chocolate, honey and more. The freshness of the products is obvious and the oils are never older than 6 months. You'll have a hard time finding fresher!
