Teen Volunteers at the Fairfield Library

Teen Volunteers at the Fairfield Library

Calling teen volunteers! Do you love being with young children and having fun? Children’s Services at the Fairfield Public Library and the Fairfield Woods Branch Library need teens to help children sign up for the online summer reading game, hand out prizes, show movies, help at events, and much more. Volunteers are needed at both libraries from June 18 through August 7, Monday through Friday, 10:00 am to 5:00 pm, in 2 hour shifts. It's an easy way for teens to help in their community, volunteer a minimum of 2 hours per week for a few weeks, or the whole summer. This volunteer opportunity is open to students entering grades 8 and up in the fall of 2015.

All interested teens must register for and attend a mandatory one-hour training session. Register for the training session here.

Last Training session date:
Tuesday, June 23, 11:00 am, Fairfield Woods Branch Library, 1147 Fairfield Woods Road

For more information about volunteering, email Children’s Librarian Judy Sparzo at or call 203-255-7327.
