Everyone is Someone's Baby

Suzy caught up with Melanie Mayron to discuss her recent pursuit of passion. We know what your thinking... and no, it's not a remake of Thirty Something. Those days are long gone, although she is still part of the biz. Melanie has been working for years on the perfect, organic baby product that serves as a preventative barrier and healing cream. So how does an actress get into the business of babies? With a lot of help from her chemist dad.
David Mayron has been working as a chemist his whole life. He is the "go to guy in the industry", having worked for big wigs like Smith Kline and Wyeth. Melanie tells us that her dad is one of main founders of the patent for "time released" medicine. Talk about a brain! Melanie describes her dad as a "gentle soul...a multi-lingual, cosmopolitan man born in Israel."
Melanie and her dad went through 47 versions of good baby barrier cream until they found a winner and she talks about number 47 with such gusto. When I ask Melanie what makes "Good Baby" so special? She tells me, "It is the natural ingredients, the smell, and the consistency." She loves the fact that it is ""paraben free and packed with essential oils and vitamins." The vitamin c is a good antioxidant for the skin, the vitamin f protects the skin against irritation, and the vitamin e is an antioxidant. These ingredients just scratch the surface of this gorgeous product.

What is Melanie up to these days?
Well, she tells Suzy that she has directed an episode of 90210 and acted in Lipstick Jungle and In Treatment on HBO. She is still very much in the entertainment game. She is also a mother of two kids, both ages 10 1/2. They "rule the roost and are free to make a mess, as long as they look out for the dog."
A fun fact about Melanie, the mom:
Melanie recently chaperoned a field trip to Big Rock Creek in the San Gabriel Mountains, where she taught her group of ten and eleven year olds to mime in order distract them from the freezing cold. They were, in fact, staying in a teepees.
Surprising fact about Good Baby:
It heals chaffed skin for adults who cycle and spin and is also great for eczema!
