Sidewalk Sales

talked to Chamber of Commerce today:
"Fairfield Sidewalk Sale Days" are sponsored by the Fairfield Chamber of Commerce (on the qt according to the retailers that's all the chamber does is sponsor the event, they are otherwise non existent with any support for the sale)
This years dates are 7/27 & 7/28
The sidewalk sales have been going on for at least 25 years
Always take place on the last Fri & Sat of July
Some shops open their doors a day early for preview, some continue the sale through Sunday
Sales are townwide
Some stores keep the sale inside depending on their products and set up
Some parts of town are more conducive to sidewalk travel (I assume she meant post road)
Rain or Shine
Be sure to mention the Fairfield Downtown Retailers Association a group of Post Road businesses that are situated between South Pine Creek Rd. and South Benson. Their mission is to keep downtown unique and personal. They are the real energy behind making these sales bigger and better.
