Calling All Aspiring Chefs

If you're like Suzy, you're looking for things to do with the kids for the next couple of weeks before school begins.  Chef's Lab invites you to try this 4-day camp where kids ages 7-11 can learn to cook like real chefs.

Chef Robin Edelstein will teach your kids basic cooking fundamentals.  They'll learn to follow recipes, make soups and sauces, roast, grill, bake and most of all, have fun.

Some of the topics that Chef's Lab will cover include all-important kitchen safety, how to use small appliances, cleaning up as you go (can someone teach my husband this?), how to make dressing & sauces, folding/mixing/blending, baking/roasting/grilling and using a variety of kitchen gadgets.

Cost: $195 per kid

Detailed schedule:

Day 1 - Dips & Sides: Apple Falafel & Dip, Hummus  & Cucumber Salad

Day 2 - One Pot Meals: Hearty Chili, Creamy Soup

Day 3  - Roast & Grill: Marinated Chicken or Tofu, Grilled Fruit Kebabs with Dip

Day 4 - Baking: Dairy Free Chocolate Cupcakes, Ricotta Cookies
