Suzy is super psyched to introduce our newest contributor - The Dunes Salon with an every so often Beauty Advisory that we can all relate to! We have personally been using Kat Parker as our stylist for close to 2 years now and she rocks! She has also got quite the resume, so read on about the coolest (and only) Eco and green salon in the county....
It is a difficult question and despite the barrage of sayings and quotations, remains virtually impossible for one to determine the definitive definition. Despite one of the most common sayings that beauty is “in the eye of the beholder,” people generally come to the same conclusions, citing happiness and healthiness rather than specific physical characteristics.
We might all also conclude that only inner beauty will pass the test of time and that natural external beauty is, in fact, a reflection of inner health and well being. In this day and age, many people who pursue natural beauty prefer to use natural products instead of synthetic ones, with the firm belief that these products will be gentler and cause fewer adverse reactions. But, did you know that in the Beauty Industry, these products can have the word “organic” in their brand name and the main ingredients can be made with and contain non-agricultural materials and petro chemical compounds? The ability to choose the right products and treatments not only depends on personal needs, but accurate ingredient knowledge and proper market choices through research and education in order to make informative decisions. A true Beauty Professional should be able to formulate and create outstanding results using more natural, gentler and healthier products and should be well informed to answer all of your questions and concerns and that cannot be found over the counter in a box.

Lawrence, that beauty is, “a communicated sense of fineness” and we believe you should demand and receive nothing less from your Beauty Professional.
