This weekend abounds with great family activities... Suzy's picks for Friday, Saturday and Sunday below.
On Friday night (1/22), check out our favorite local musician -- Jeffrey Friedberg and The Bossy Frog Band who plays a benefit concert for the Clarkstown Family Resource Center at New City Elementary at 6:30 pm. Come in your PJs and bring a blanket for this Pajama Party. Tickets are 10 in advance or 12 at the door. For more info, click here.
On Saturday (1/23) and Sunday (1/24), head to Rockland Lake for the Knickerbocker Ice Festival. Starts at 11:00 am both days. Goes until dark on Saturday and until 4:00 pm on Sunday. Admission is Free and Parking is $5. Activities include the Ice Carving Invitational, bowling, building and having a ball at the KIDZ Ice Park, see ice artists at work, visit performing artists and have a bite to eat in the Cold Rock Cafe, visit the ruins of the 19th Century Knickerbocker Ice Company, a blazing bonfire at 4:30 on Saturday, Hudson Valley craft vendors, storytelling, musical entertainment and more. Go to Lot #1 for parking.
On Sunday (1/24), head to the JCC Rockland for Connecticut's own Swingset Mamas in concert at 4:00 pm. iParenting and Parents Choice Award winners who make fab music incorporating parenting tips, into rock, reggae and more! Tickets are $10 in advance or $15 at the door.
