This week and weekend, tons of activities to check out for the kids and the parents...
On Friday, at 5:30 pm at the Rose Memorial Library in Stony Point, check out Jeffrey Friedberg and the Bossy Frog band jamming to their tunes. Call 845.786.2100 for details about who can go, whether you need tickets, etc. -- some of the library programs have restrictions for residents of particular towns.
This week, also get the HOLIDAY SHOPPING started by visiting Woodglen Elementary School in New City at their Shopping Boutique . It takes place this Friday night, 11/20, from 7-10 pm and features tons of local vendors including The Chocolatier, 2 Cute 4 U Children's Clothing & Accessories, Lemon Clothing, Tye Dyenamite, Jennifer's Jewels, Zena B. Jewelry, Discovery Toys, among many, many others... You can even bring your old jewelry and get cash on the spot. Woodglen Elementary is located at 121 Phillips Hill Road. Also, this weekend, the JCC hosts their Chanukah Boutique on Sunday, 11/22 from 9:30 to 4:30 pm.

On Wednesday, 11/18, check out a lecture entitled Simplicity Parenting - Using the Extraordinary Power of Less to Raise Calmer, Happier, and More Secure Kids. Lecture takes place at the Nyack Center on Depew Avenue in Nyack and is hosted by the Blue Rock School. Cost is $7 and features author Kim John Payne. Reservations are recommended. Call 845.627.0234.
