If you are not shopping...
For those of you who are not shopping and avoiding the mall like many...

Here are a few options for this weekend -- check out The 34th Annual Miniature and Dollhouse Show: A Serendipity! presented by the Historical Society of Rockland County.  It opened last weekend and showcases miniatures by artists Mirque and Susan Farnik, along with the work of many other talented regional contributors, including well-known ceramic artist Rosemary Aiello and children's book illustrator Elizabeth Sayles.  Both Rosemary and Elizabeth are Rockland residents.  Additionally, the Historical Society is presenting the work of Clarke Dunham Studio with a complete small-scale train set.  Dunham is well known for his fantastic trains and landscapes exhibited at Citi Corpes in New York.  Admission is $7 adults and $3 for children under 12 and HSRC members.  Price includes free admission to the 1832 Jacob Blauvelt House on Sundays from 12-4pm.

For something a bit different, check out a Holiday Victorian Tea at the Bricktown Inn Bed & Breakfast in Haverstraw.  Yes, high tea in Haverstraw.  How cool!  The first Holiday Tea is this Sunday, 11/29 with seatings at 12:30 and 3:00 pm.  Subsequent dates are December 5, 11, 13 and 16.  Cost is $20 per person.  Call 845.429.8447 for reservations. The Bricktown Inn is located at 112 Hudson Avenue, Haverstraw, NY.
