Suzy is shocked to realize that Chanukah is just a mere 5 days away with Christmas & Kwanzaa to follow quickly and out shopping has yet to be finished. Where did this year go?
With that though we have some fun ideas to get out of the house this weekend once the latke feast has subsided.....
Friday, Saturday and Sunday RCC is host to the Rockland Youth Dance Ensemble production of the holiday classic The Nutcracker. Featuring children ages 7- 18 alongside broadway professionals and guest artists. Call 845 357 2251 or hop on the website.
Dancing not your thing? How about a Winter Family Campfire with marshmallow roasting, ghost stories and the token educational aspect to learn about seasonal changes. Find more details at the Tenafly Nature Center. Sunday 12/13 @ 5pm, pre register space is limited - $10.
Also on sunday, Chabad of NW Bergen County hosts the Willy Wonka Menorah Lighting complete with a nine foot chocolate menorah. Five golden tickets are hidden in the menorah and you can see a chocolate sculptor at work while your kids mold thier own dreidels. Held at 4pm, Wyckoff Town Hall, 340 Franklin Ave in Wyckoff. The Palisades Center Mall offers Breakfast with Santa, 10 am on Sunday morning in Santa Land. Children must be pre registered at the Customer Service Desk on Level 1. FREE!
