Go Street Festival Crazy
Suzy is all excited yet bummed for this weekend.  There is much to do and not enough time to accomplish everything.  So she is hoping her galpals will get out to so me of these locals outings and she can live vicariously through them.  Pick wisely or schedule yourself 24/7 (our personal choice) for the following activities......

Starting on saturday upstate with the Monroe Cheese Festival, yes cheese, a fun filled day of apparently what is a really big deal up north.  Working your way a bit south you have the Crabfest at the Goswick Pavilion in Piermont.  Lots of good food and fun benefiting the Friends of Piermont Library. Then after your picnic, meander down to Route 59 for the 100th Anniversary of Tallman Fire House.  They will be hosting the Rockland County Volunteer Fireman's Parade at 2pm sharp.   Lots of street closings, be aware and take alternate routes..

Sunday, sit back and take notes.  First off is is Grandparents Day! so dont leave nana and papa at home, throw them in the car with the kids so they get some quality time spent.  Clark Park in Suffern is full of activities from 12-2 especially for the Grands.  Go here for more info.  But before that, head up to the Haverstraw Street Fair starting at 11am.    When nana and papa have had their fill, hop in the car for the last bit of the Nyack Street Fair on Main Street.  Check out the soft pretsel dude on Broadway with like 20 kinds of mustard!

Got a dog - hop over to Spook Rock Pool for the Annual end of summer -the-pool- is-already-dirty, Doggie Swim from 12:00-3pm.  $10 donation requested.   And if you are a new or up and coming mommy - check out the Birth, Babies and Beyond expo at RCC with all things infant and kid related.
