Cruise the Hudson...
On Saturday, May 9th, enjoy a day on the Hudson River with Hudson Highland Cruises aboard the Commander.    

The cruise sails North from Haverstraw at 2:30 p.m. and returns at 4:30 p.m.  It is a narrated cruise that will tell you about the river and the sights along the way.

COST IS $15 SENIORS AND CHILDREN, $17.00 PER ADULTS. No credit cards are accepted.

COMMANDER has the distinction of being the last operating vessel that served in the U.S. Navy in World War I, and joins the battleship TEXAS and the battlecruiser OLYMPIC, as the only remaining ships from that era. She displays the World War I Victory Medal as a token of her service.

COMMANDER was listed in 1984 on both the State and National Registers of Historic Places, and is also listed in the International Register of Historic Ships (page 279), Great American Ships (page 121) and the Dictionary of American Fighting Ships, Vol. I
