Family First Saturdays Presents: Let’s Roll!
Artist Betsabeé Romero uses cars and tires to make art about her Mexican heritage and contemporary culture. Tour Betsabeé Romero: Black Tears (Lágrimas Negras) and join a studio workshop where children explore the artist’s use of patterns and simple printing methods to create their own design.
Following the tours and workshops will be a performance by the local Mexican youth dance troupe Telpochcalli, which features performers ages 4-12. Kids learn the steps to each dance and are invited to participate. Come dance with us!
Tours: 1 – 3 pm
Workshops: 1 – 4 pm
Performances: 3 pm
Guided tours are for all ages!
