Pick some Apples -- it's that time!

It's that time of year again -- can you believe it? Pick your own apples time... It is a fun way to get out with the kids! While Suzy recognizes that there are some places close to home, there also some really cool places not far from here. Here are the details.
Check out Masker's Pick-It-Yourself Orchards in Warwick, NY. They are now open daily for the apple picking season. On Saturdays and Sundays, the Orchard offers Pony Rides, Horse Drawn Wagon Rides, a Pumpkin Patch and a Haunted House. All open as of September 19th.
Cruise to Applewood Orchards and Winery for apple picking and some wine tasting. Not a bad combo. All the usual kids activities including Wagon rides, music, puppet shows. Applewood is in Warwick, NY.
Visit our neighbors in Newburgh, NY and visit Lawrence Farms Orchards. Apple season has begun with several varieties of apples available to pick as well as pears, sweet corn, peppers, squash, eggplant and tomatoes - pumpkins are just starting. They have some animals to visit with, a little village for the kids to play and tractor rides.
Now, Suzy just needs to find that Apple Pie recipe...
