Looking for a change of atmosphere for your pumpkin picking this year? Take a road trip to Linvilla Orchards in Delaware County Pa. Suzy grew up with this in her backyard and it rivals or beats any local farm in the tristate.
Pick your own apples, Huge pumpkin patch with scarecrows, photo opps, hayrides, costume contests, pony rides, train rides, cornfield maze, face painting, petting zoo and more. There is an AWESOME, should i say it again? Farmer's Market inside the old rustic barn that has been standing for decades. Homemade everything from pies to cakes, to cookies, to sauces and jams. And who can forget caramel apples - 10 varieties from traditional to not so much.
This weekend is the Makin Music concert on sunday, the jack o lantern exibit starts the 16th and runs through Halloween, the 25th is the Annual Costume parade.
Well worth the drive, make a weekend of it as there is plenty to do in Philly, just down the road.
