Ok, something different to consider... a day at the races. The Belmont Stakes, the final leg of horse racing's triple crown and the area's biggest horse-racing event takes place in Elmont, just east of Queens. The race goes at 6:30 pm but you can arrive before noon for a full day of races and fun. Visit www.belmontstakes.com for more info.
