A Day Out with Thomas (the Train, that is)
Day Out with Thomas is an exciting way for children and grown-ups to enter the world of Thomas & Friends. The event provides an opportunity for kids to ride on board a train led by Thomas and have their pictures taken with Sir Topham Hatt, the Controller of Thomas' Railway.

Each of the events offers visitors a fresh and unique experience that distinguishes host U.S. railroads. Different forms of entertainment - from petting zoos and pony rides to face-painting and magic shows - make each Day Out with Thomas event special. In addition, every location includes a special viewing station for Thomas & Friends videos, story time and temporary tattoos of the Island of Sodor friends.

You can check out the Day Out with Thomas by heading to Phillipsburg, NJ (about 1 1/2 hrs away) near the Delaware River from July 3-5 and July 10-12.  Tickets are $18 for anyone over the age of 2 and gets you a 25 minute ride on Thomas the Train himself and a meeting with Sir Topham Hatt.  The event is at Delaware River Railroad Excursions.  I'm sure the kiddies will be forever grateful!!!  You can purchase tickets HERE.

Your day will be filled with activities outside of your ride with Thomas!
A hay bale maze, circus train layout,  30 foot bouncy pumpkin, petting zoo, spin art, coloring, rubber stamps, temporary tattoos, sidewalk chalk and bubble station, great live music and some of the best food around!  This railroad offer New Jersey's ONLY operating steam locomotive. You can also visit the Ol' Susquehanna Mine and learn how to pan for real gem stones you can take home with you!
