Newburgh Music Festival to celebrate Labor Day
For those of us not in ownership or rental of a beach or country home, what are we to do on a holiday weekend?  A nicer opportunity than going south into the city is upstate to sleepy Newburgh.  The town transforms the waterfront into the 21st Annual International Waterfront Festival.

Lots of activities going on all weekend long including entertainment, flea markets, crafts, games, food and more.  The festival features a special area dedicated to veterans as well as the VetAid National Bike run (the big hogs, not Suzy's Schwinn) on Saturday morning which benefits the local veterans. Registration begins at 2pm ($10 fee) at Moroneys Cycle on Union St.
