Holiday Vacation Days
Fun and relaxing times for all or tense and nervous teens around the house?

If you have a senior in the house who has submitted applications to colleges yet hasn’t learned about admissions decisions, this time of year can be a bit of a roller coaster ride...

How can you help your teen over the holidays and beyond?
My suggestions are:
focus on the positive-break into any negative thinking about what can’t be controlled and offer concrete examples of what your teen did well during the search and selection process
provide plenty of distractions (which may be easier due to the holidays)
prepare to listen A LOT
and,  be very patient... with hearing the same concerns, conversations, and questions.

Happily, as the calendar reveals, this state of limbo for your teen will end... and then it will be time to make the BIG decisions!
