Save the Earth, One Day at a time
This Suzy is bouncing back from the new baby and getting all Eco.  So in anticipation of the 40th Annual Earth Day celebration on 4/22/10, lets peruse some of our favorite ways to help the planet...

For the official history, countdown, to find events and more, hop on to the Earth Day website

I was recenlty introduced to KIWI Magazine, the trendy happenin all things organic and green family focused publication.  If you have occasion to check it out do so, not only is the format a fabulous read, but it is chock full of great things.

Are your kids all about Wubbzy, Walden and Widget?  Now they can learn to be green with Wubbzy Goes Green, out now on DVD.  For every DVD purchased, $1 will be donated to plant trees in playgrounds and schoolyards across the country through Alliance for Community Trees.

Some of our favorite sites for organic duds - Kiwi Industries, Kate Quinn Organics, My Natural Toys available at Target and a portion of the proceeds go to the Jane Goodall Institute;  and Kamik.

April 19th is National Hanging Out Day - encouraging families everywhere to hang thier clothes out to dry - literally - to conserve water and electricity.  Learn more about the movement at LaundryList.

Graze Organic has created totally reusuable, washable, adorable snack bags.  All hand silkscreened with water based inks, you don't need to want to save our resources to grab these puppies.  Suzy is getting them for all of her friends!
