Consign is SO NOT a dirty word

So Suzy has been recently looking into outlets to get rid of baby gear when the time comes and instead of the usual garage sale or donation (as much as other people need stuff, in these times, so do we), we have decided to consign anything relevant. In Rockland County there happen to be two fabulous places to do such a thing - Jennifer's Kids in Nanuet and the newly opened Lucky Duckies in Suffern.
If you are in the northern part of the county, swing by the recently (like a month ago) opened Lucky Duckies on Lafayette St in Suffern. What the shop lacks in size (as all the shops do in Suffern), it makes up in character. You are immediately taken in by the bright blue and green walls and shiny new displays. Kim, the proprietor has 4 kids of her own so she knows a thing or 2 about kids gear and apparel. Sizes start at infant and inventory is arriving daily (Suzy is dropping a boatload a fall /winter stuff soon even though she can't bear to part with it). Toys, gear, books and knick knacks abound here as well. She is definitely still taking on new consignors so hop to it it you have winter wardrobes laying around.

Jennifer's Kids opened in August of 08 and has been growing the business ever since. They are located caddy corner to Tumble Bees behind Nanuet Mall - a little off the beaten path, but worth the drive throguh the parking lot. Clothes go from layette up to tween on the girls side and layette to 8-10 on the boys with seasonal merchandise all year round to choose from. In addition to the boat load of clothes there is gear (bassinets to crib to high chair to car seats), books, toys for all ages, videos, bedding, bikes and more. Everything of course is subject to change daily as customers go in and out and buy the one of a kind thing you were looking for. Bottom line is both are worth the trip and the only dedicated KIDS consignment stores in the county (if you know of others by all means share with us!).
