Suzy recently had the chance to relax for more than 5 minutes, without a toddler or hubby calling her name, or a dish to wash or dry and she was not in her house!!! She was relaxing in the those really fabulous swivel chairs you find at a hair salon, getting her locks a MUCH needed cut, (and surprise color). Kat Parker, a Rockland native who went south (to NYC) for a few decades recently moved back to the burbs. After working as a Master Colorist for several salons in Westchester and in a little salon in some guy Trump's building along with training and teaching at L'oreal Kat wanted to relax a bit. You can now find her at Personal Style Hair Designers in New City.
Now Suzy is a pretty conservative gal but Kat talked her into some copper and light brown highlights to "liven it up a bit" as she said in addition to ditching the hideous split ends that had been taking up residence. The result being everyone including Suzy loved the subtle change. Now it wasn't as drastic as the purple and neon pink do's in Kat's portfolio, which were very becoming on those gals, but definitely not this mamas speed, but it did the trick.
The salon itself is a great loft space removed from the rest of the patrons and technicians and Kat will tell you exactly what she thinks would look fabulous on you! And i gotta say, she's pretty convincing real quick, so go in with an open mind (and wallet). Pricing for cuts starts under $50, a great deal for the county.
