She can do it and Home Depot can help
Why is it always assumed that its a husband or man's job to do the fixer-upper things in the house?  Ok so Suzy's hubby happens to know his way around a tool belt quite well (in fact the bathroom is gutted wiating for sheetrock and the ceiling fans and high hats were just completed), but we realize not every husband is of that ilk.... so enter Home Depot with their Home Improver Club and "Do it Herself" workshops.

Everything from Painting, to deck & window installation to celing fans and more.  These monthly workshops at all Home Depot locations are FREE, but require a reservation.

A Sampling of some of the basics....

Suzy's toddler is all about the tools and helping Daddy (we're hoping the current need to clean constantly is inherent in about 10 years!).  So not to leave the kiddos out, there is also a Kids Workshop Club. The First Saturday of each month from 9-12p, kids ages 5-12 are invited for a free session which teach do-it-yourself skills and tool safety, while instilling a sense of accomplishment. Offered on the first Saturday of each month between 9 a.m. and noon at The Home Depot.
